Aleasandra Seutin launched our International Dance Masterclass series sharing West African Dance based on Germaine Acogny Technique, as well as repertoire from Vocab and Boy Breaking Glass. The workshop day also opened Spread Your Wings, Movema’s Black History Month programme.
The masterclasses are part of Movema’s new associate artist development programme Wildfire Rising, a programme co-delivered with Cheshire Dance and funded by Arts Council England.
The masterclass series is held in-person in the North West, with Zoom access for those elsewhere. The masterclasses provide an opportunity for community members to join and some have a separate focused session for emerging and professional artists.
