The Peacock, Feng Huang and Sankofa bird from Movema’s Taking Flight will be performing at the leading outdoor multi-cultural festival, Warrington Mela.
You can expect a day of free street theatre, dance, music, food, and colliding cultures spread across Queens Gardens and Time Square.
This year’s theme, “Home,” explores ideas of belonging, identity and community and ties in perfectly with ‘Taking Flight’ in which our three traveller cyborg-birds encounter each other when their journeys of migration bring them together in a new place.
