Over the past couple of months Movema have been dancing with young people from The Greenhouse Project and Croxeth Gems, leading an exciting project supported by BBC Children In Need.
By using Movema’s ‘World In A Box’ resource, the young people have had the opportunity to try new styles of dance and learn more about the countries and cultures they originate from. Games, props, pictures and discussion help provide a enriched experience and allow the participants to be creative and make their own choreography too.
You can see a demonstration of ‘Unlock the Box’ at FLUX Liverpool, a pioneering arts festival engineered by young people, created for everyone.

The group will be lead by a young person aged 14–25 who has been training with Movema to deliver world dance activities. The performance will be a vibrant celebration of dances from around the world with colourful props and exciting music.
