One Jam Troupe 2023

Our Bristol team are over the moon to be dancing at three events in a row this summer; Bristol Refugee Festival, St Pauls Carnival and Bristol Pride!

This year we’re going big, collaborating with other local dance groups and organisations to create the One Jam Troupe. The troupe is a partnership between Movema’s World Fusion adult performers and; Rise Youth Dance, BSA College, Funk Supreme, Bristol Institute for Performing Arts (BIPA) with additional support from South Gloucestershire Race Equality Network (SGREN) and SGS College.

Community Collaboration

Not only are we all dancing together, our participants have also helped with; choreography, running rehearsals, costume design/making, choosing music, finding volunteers and keeping us all stress free!

Interested in joining?

New members are always welcome to join Movema’s Tuesday World Fusion classes at The Island in the city centre. There’s just enough time to come and learn a few routines for our summer performances (and we share videos and playlists to help practice at home).

We will be running classes all through June & July, then there’ll be a break for all of August, and we’ll be recommence at the beginning of September.
