Movema are inviting local people of all ages and abilities to perform with them at the spectacular Feast of Fire by renowned outdoor event producers Walk the Plank on Saturday 24th March 2018!
We specialise in bringing community members to participate in incredible city events alongside professional artists. Feast of Fire takes place in St John’s Gardens by St George’s Hall Liverpool City centre and promises to be “an atmospheric, fiery feast for the senses!”
Rehearsals will take place at Movema’s base at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts on Wednesday evenings, starting 21st February.
Choreographer Maria Malone says; “We are over the moon to offer this amazing opportunity to the people of Liverpool, it is something completely new and unique that we know participants and audiences will love. We are excited to curate the Celtic Flames ‘Late Session’ event with musical collaborator Mikey Kenney, the dancers will be performing to sensational live music, it’s going to be an unforgettable experience.”
Places are limited so anyone interested should go along to World Fusion classes 6-7pm on a Wednesday ASAP to secure their costume. Rehearsals are part of the class, which includes a fun dance session of dances from around the world for ages 8+.
