Through Spring and Summer, our Everybody Dance Now family group in Filwood spent their weekly sessions devising and shaping their own carnival movements inspired by different carnivals across the world (Brazil, Caribbean and Colombia), and things they love – including football moves during the World Cup!
Sadly, the festival they were gearing up to perform at was cancelled due to the heatwave. But luckily, we have been invited to be part of St Barnabas Church’s event, ‘Bring Your Culture to the Table’.
Come along to see their co-created community carnival dance routines and admire their wonderful crafts, including props made in partnership with Knowle West Media Centre!
