Brouhaha Carnival & World In Princes Park Festival

27th July 2013

It’s Carnival time again! The Movema Bloco will be back and full of energy fueled by the awesome sound of Batala Liverpool.

The parade of music, dancing, costumes and huge structures will pass down Catherine Street, Princes Avenue and into Princes Park between 12-2pm.

Movema participants will be showcasing some new moves learned at World Dance Wednesday Classes and performed at the recent Bloom festival produced by ADAD.

At 4.30pm Movema will be doing a lively demo on the Mela Stage with our professional and community dancers.

Info for Movema’s Bloco dancers

Meet at Liverpool Community College, Myrtle Street at 10am and bring any Movema costumes/ T-shirts you already have.

Our bags and everyday clothes will be transported to the park and waiting for us at the finish (but please only bring essentials avoid bringing any valuables).

After the parade we hope you are able to stick around for Movema’s demo on the Mela stage – and we are hoping a group will join us to perform too!
