The Movema team are getting ready for another exciting year at Africa Oyé festival in Liverpool!
African Oyé is the UK’s largest free festival of African music and culture! This year on the main stage catch Tanya Stephens, Kimi Djabaté, Sean Kuti & Egypt 80, Veeby and FRA!
Movema will be back to run the Oyé Active Zone as part of the Oyé Village, offering a jam-packed programme of free dance and music workshops and performances. This year our line-up includes Djagba Community Drumming, Osun Arts – African Dance with LIVE percussion workshop, Mulembas Da Africa, Beatlife, a Body percussion workshop by Sole Rebel, workshops by Afrodance Academy (recently featured on BBC4 Dance Passion!), as well as Capoeira For All, and various World dance styles with Movema including Bollywood, Cuban Salsa, African dance styles and Samba.
The activities are open for all people and our friendly team are there to help.
