In May Movema and Milapfest jointly recruited for an artist specialising in Indian dance to fulfil our aims of bringing Indian dance to Liverpool communities.
The successful candidate Sheetal has been working with youth groups & older people, teaching online and in person in schools, nurseries and community centres. Sheetal is also working on developing her skills as a Bharatnatyam performer and dance choreographer, look out for performance projects coming soon!
Classes
Sheetal has been leading classes online and in person throughout this year. Sharing Bhangra, Bollywood, Indian Folk dance and world dance with people of all ages and backgounds.
Events
Sheetal regularly performs and leads workshops at key festivals and events in the Movema and Milap calendar.
