Afro Fusion Dance Classes and performances are back!
Learn and perform with Movema in fun and energetic classes inspired by dances from the African Diaspora. Classes take place 6-7pm every Wednesday from 10th September to 29th October.
Classes are a new exciting mix of African, Caribbean and HipHop/Street Dance taught by Ithalia Forel at The Black-E Liverpool.
The group will perform at:
- 27th October 6pm. The launch of Afro Vibes Festival of South African Arts at The Black-E, Liverpool.
- 29th October 7pm. ‘Biko’s Quest’ Preshow performance at The Black-E.
- 1st November 6pm. Liverpool Lantern Company’s Halloween parade in Sefton Park.
World Dance Wednesdays give you the chance to learn techniques and routines from specific countries or cultures. As well as the Wednesday classes Movema try to programme each style inline with international or local festivals and events to give participants the opportunity to perform at Afro Vibes Festival 2014 if they wish.
