WORLD FUSION with Movema & RISE at The Island.
Tuesdays 7.30 – 8.30pm
A high-energy dance class inspired by various traditional and modern styles from around the globe such as Latin, Reggae, Bollywood and Carnival.
What to expect: Each class will be packed full of vibrant moves and music celebrating diversity and providing an energising cultural experience. Award winning dance specialists Penny and Helen will lead the group through various dance techniques and routines, sharing their knowledge, skills and choreography. As well as the classes, participants will be given the opportunity to perform with Movema and RISE at festivals and community events during the year.
What to bring with you: Dance clothes and a big bottle of water. We will work in bare feet or indoor sports/dance shoes are also welcome.
Level: Mixed level adults 16+
Cost: £5 full price / £4 concessions and professional dancers.

WORLD FUSION at University of Bristol Dance Society.
Mondays 7-8pm RETURNING SEPT 2017
This class will take participants on a journey around the world, including different styles from social to studio and Movema’s own eclectic mix up! We will be learning techniques and routines throughout the term featuring; Bollywood, Flamenco, Brazilian, Caribbean, yoga and more, fused with a contemporary/jazz foundation.
Cost: All members pay £3, non-members pay £4.50.
Membership: To become a member, for students it costs £7 and non-students a bit more (TBC)
Suitable for: All abilities from beginners to those experienced dancers looking for something to spice up their style. Age 16+
Bring: Comfortable dance clothes (we recommend bright colours to get in the mood!) we usually dance with bare feet although indoor sports/dance shoes are fine if you prefer. Also bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated.

What to expect: Wellbeing for body and mind.
In this class breath and movement are seamlessly united allowing the body to flow through sequences and postures ending with a moment of relaxation and restoration. The many benefits include: improving flexibility, tone, strength, joint mobility and posture; improving function of the immune, respiratory and digestive systems and balancing metabolism; providing stress-release, regulating sleep patterns and feeling good.
This class is suitable for all levels. *If you have any concerns about your health and suitability to join the session due to recent injury or surgery, high/low blood pressure, serious medical conditions, pre/post natal, please consult a medical professional first.
What to bring: a yoga mat, comfortable clothes, jumper/blanket for the relaxation section, a bottle of water.
