Movema will be back at Oyé with more exciting dance workshops and demonstrations for all the community to enjoy.
Watch out for Caribbean Calypso, Afro-Brazilian beats, World In A Box family session and the dynamic Youth Dance Battle!  With Movema artists and special guests!

SATURDAY
13.00 – 13.30: Zumba with Movema
Will Hernandez: A special edition of the International dance fitness phenomenon incorporating rhythms from the African Diaspora!

14.00 – 14:30: Rimka, Main stage artist Karim master drummer will lead a drum workshop and demonstration.

15.00 – 15.30: Unlock the Box Dance Ages 8 – 16s Talisha Thomas Lindsey: World dance

15.30 – 16.00: Capoeira Ages 5+ Instructor Açouguiero. Capoeira is a fascinating AfroBrazilian art form combining elements of dance, martial art, music and culture.

16.00 – 16.30: Afro-fusion Penny Caffrey: Mixing it all up, Dancehall, Reggaeton and AfroPOP be ready to hit the dance floor for the after party.

17:00 – 18:00: Unlock the Box Youth Dance Battle in partnership with One Dance UK, Afrobeats, Brouhaha International and MDI come and show us your moves and win prizes!

SUNDAY

13.00 – 13.30: World in a Box Family Session. Pei Tong: For all the family to join in, using props and instruments, dancing to exciting rhythms from around the world.

14.00 – 14.45: MDI Lamin Dumbuya:West Africa Performance and Dance. Back by popular demand! The wonderful Lamin brings his joyous West African class and performances.

15.00 – 15.30:Katumba Drumming Workshop. Drum, sing and celebrate AfroBrazilian traditions and culture. Parade around the park with Katumba & Movema sharing what you have learned, bringing the Carnival vibrancy to the park.

16.00 – 16.30:Capoeira Ages 5+ Capoeira for All: Instructor Açouguiero. Capoeira is a fascinating Afro-Brazilian art form combining elements of dance,martial art,music and culture.

17.00 – 17.30:Carnival Dance Ithalia Forel: Learn exciting AfroBrazilian and Caribbean carnival moves ready to hit the street in July in August. A great chance to join Movema Bloco too!

17.30 – 18.00:Movema and Katumba Bloco. Join Movema and Katumba to parade around the park, with your recently developed carnival drum and dancing workshop. A great way to end your weekend of grooving.
